5 Must-See Christian Artist Moments at the 2024 Grammy Awards

You may have seen Taylor Swift’s album announcement or Miley Cyrus’ mid-song celebration, but I guarantee you haven’t seen these red-carpet rendezvous yet!

1. Joel & Moriah Smallbone walking in the rain!

Joel Smallbone from for KING + COUNTRY, and his wife Moriah, who recently starred in the movie Journey To Bethlehem traveled to LA to attend the Grammys. But little did they know, that their travels would quickly become an adventure in flash flood rains! Glad to know they are safe, but I am still laughing at the Starbucks bag on Moriah’s head!

2. Kirk Franklin’s show-stopping performance.

Kirk’s got the moves! I couldn’t help but be reminded of the Bible story where David danced before the Lord with all his might. If Kirk Franklin and David ever met, they would be great friends. The first song in this set, “All Things,” won Best Gospel Performance/Song, but you’ve got to stick around for the performance of his iconic song “I Smile.”

3. Blessing Offor’s adorable post.

Blessing Offor was stylin’ and profilin’! Blessing Offor was nominated for Best Contemporary Christian Music Album, and though he didn’t win he posted the cutest pictures with all his friends. And although we may have been off the mark in guessing what Lauren Daigle would wear to the Dove Awards, we were right on the money for the Grammys.

4. Lauren Daigle crying at Celine Dion!

Celine Dion made a surprise visit at the Grammys and it left Lauren feeling… emotional. Lauren left us a fun post with her memories at the Grammys. Scroll through some of the pictures in this post to see her bracing the flash flood rains/winds and having a pizza party to celebrate her nomination!

5. Lecrae winning TWO Grammys!

Yep, you heard that right. Lecrae won Best Contemporary Christian Music Album and Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song! He gave the sweetest acceptance speech and my favorite part was “and shoutout to my daughter!” and he looked at her with absolute pride, handing her the award.

Lecrae has been making rap music for 20 years, (now is a 5-time Grammy award winner) and it was so special to see him be rewarded for all his hard work and dedication. Throughout all the fame, he only wants to give glory to God and be a good father.

I hope you enjoyed some of these moments as much as I did. It’s always encouraging to see faithful artists in a secular industry. I pray that we will only see growth in the Christian music industry in the years to come!
