Everyone knows the two best parts of the Super Bowl…the commercials and your aunt’s killer chicken wings.
The Super Bowl continues to be a great opportunity for families and friends to spend some time together. I’ve never been the biggest football fan. But, I always look forward to the halftime show. And let’s face it, halftime shows have caused some controversy through the years.
So we’ve made a small list of some of our favorite artists (in no particular order!) who would give an incredible halftime show, no fumbles, no questions asked. 🏈
1) CAIN
Sibling trio Madison, Taylor, and Logan Cain know how to make any event…colorful. Cain’s newest album is so joyful and every concert is blessed with their iconic coordinated outfits. They literally have their own reality TV show if that isn’t proof enough of how entertaining they truly are.
And they’ve already got the confetti canons.

2) for KING + COUNTRY
for KING + COUNTRY has been a busy band. Luke and Joel Smallbone are not only touring but starring and producing their new movie Unsung Hero which tells the incredible story of their family. I have had the privilege of seeing for KING + COUNTRY in concert twice, and they never disappoint. They have the vocals, the confetti, and all the hype they need for a Super Bowl like none other.
3) Blanca
Blanca’s album “The Heartbreak And The Healing” has some bangers. Blanca is a double threat because not only can she sing…she can dance! If she performed “Something Better” with a surprise appearance of Tauren Wells I would go crazy. Not to mention she could be joined by a drumline for her hit “Different Drum.” Someone get me on the phone with her production team, stat.
4) Lecrae
Lecrae, the king of Christian rap himself. I wouldn’t be upset if his performance was joined by some other incredible rappers like Andy Mineo, KB, and Hulvey to name a few. But Lecrae knows how to successfully tell a story with a powerful song. Picture this: he opens with the song below featuring a live children’s choir. Literal chills.
5) Skillet
You’re never ready to see Skillet in concert- until you see Skillet in concert. They are known for their incredible instrumentation, lights, vocals, and maybe some fire here and there. Skillet has been a band for 20+ years and continues to be a showstopper in spreading the gospel to millions. Even if they’re not your cup of tea, the “panheads” would go wild for a Skillet Super Bowl.
6) Lauren Daigle
Lauren Daigle released over 23 new songs with her latest album and it is literally a big groovy dance party. There is no doubt in my mind that the production quality of a Lauren Daigle Super Bowl concert would be amazing. Just as long as everyone prepares to shed a tear if she sings “Be Okay.”
7) NEEDTOBREATHE
NEEDTOBREATHE has been making up tap our feet since “Washed By The Water.” Can you imagine if We The Kingdom and NEEDTOBREATHE did a joint concert? It would be a Christian rock fan’s dream come true. Everyone in the stadium would be singing along.
8) Elevation Worship
I tried my best not to include a worship band for a Super Bowl lineup. But Elevation has too many songs that would be incredible to hear in a stadium. Imagine thousands of people singing the chorus of “Praise,” “Lion,” or “Rattle!” I know for a fact they could hype the crowd and praise like no one was watching.
9) TobyMac
I mean, this list wouldn’t be complete without TobyMac. He was my first concert ever and I was not disappointed by any means. His latest album “Life After Death” is not only an incredible list of songs but also powerful and vulnerable about the death of his son. I know it would be a concert we would never forget.
10) Anne Wilson
Anne Wilson is a country queen. She is touring with Scotty McCreery right now and just released her newest album. The song below is her biggest hit from that album but I know she could bring the house down with her upbeat songs like “Rebel” and “My Jesus.”
BONUS) Tauren Wells
After tragically forgetting to include Tauren Wells in our original list we were called out (justifiably so) and have made this amendment to put the “King of Christian Pop” in his rightful place among the great future Christian artist performers of the Super Bowl halftime show.
Not only does Christian pop artist Tauren Wells have the vocal mastery of Bruno Mars but also dance moves that are only matched by the man in the mirror himself, Michael Jackson.

Matthew West would be a great halftime show!
Lauren D. Merceme or Tauren Wells. Also, Brandon Lake!
