After Lauren‘s visit, some of the women from the prison openly shared their hope in Jesus.

“You’re still capable of making positive changes in your life. No matter what your circumstances have led, God is the reason to keep walking and growing in faith.”

“You do feel like you’re on an island by yourself in here sometimes. We’re always wanting to be rescued. At the end of the day, it’s God.”

Lauren says that there is nothing like the earnest passion that comes from the sound of these women praising the Lord. It is inspirational to see that there is freedom in their worship, and we can be that free no matter what the world throws our way.

This is a very great gift (blessing) for these incarcerated residents and for whoever it is that is going inside these prisons to sing and worship and witness to these women and men. My wife and I are Kairos Inside Prison ministry volunteers in three prisons in Ohio.
