You know that rush of excitement and energy you get when you hear a new song?
8th grade me, waited up until midnight for the new Taylor Swift “Speak Now” album to drop. I remember soaking in every second of new music eager to get to school the next day and share my favorite tracks with my best friend.
Now, when I replay old favorites I get a sense of nostalgia… but the excitement isn’t there anymore.
I love how remixes can bring new life to old favorites. Here are 3 worship remixes I stumbled upon recently that I can’t take off repeat:
1) “Way Maker” by Leeland
While the song is originally by Leeland you probably best remember the version sung by Michael W. Smith. At the beginning of 2020 this song was being sung in churches across the world and was a top spin on Christian radio everywhere!
Stream this remix on Spotify.
2) “Promised Land” by TobyMac
If you thought it was odd to hear TobyMac sing alongside country music legend Sheryl Crow, then you’ll be even more surprised to hear this pop punk cover of his song “Promised Land.” I really enjoy how unique this rendition is and I know Toby does too because he shared it with fans on his Facebook page!
3) “Be Alright” by Evan Craft
I couldn’t get the original of this song out of my head since the first time I heard it on WayFM Radio. The song first released in 2020 and featured Danny Gokey but this new remix features Sam Rivera and one of my favorite Christian hip hop artists, KB.
BONUS) “Jireh” by Maverick City Music
I stumbled upon this gem while scrolling through TikTok. The full song hasn’t released yet to streaming services but I hope it does soon. Whatever you do, please don’t miss the beat drop 37 seconds in. 🙌

Jireh was by far the best in my opinion. all the rest didn’t live up to the originals. Not sure about the Toby song I’ve never heard it but i’m not a Toby fan.
I love TobyMac/Sheryl Crow
