Those million things on your to-do list? They can wait. Spending time with Him can’t.
You can’t pour from an empty cup, and the One who fulfills is waiting for you. Remember the story of Jesus and His disciples on the boat? The storm was raging, waves crashing, and fear rising. But what did the Lord say (after taking a much-needed nap)?
“Peace, be still.”
With just three words, the wind and waves obeyed instantly. That same power that calmed a raging storm, can calm your heart today.
Find your new life verse below and make it part of your everyday rhythm. Tape it to your bathroom mirror, your car dashboard, or your phone background– somewhere you’ll see it and remember: because Jesus goes with you wherever you go, His peace does too.
1. Prayer leads to peace.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” | Philippians 4:6–7
2. His peace is not like this world.
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” | John 14:27
3. His peace is there all the time.
“Now may the Lord of peace himself give you his peace at all times and in every situation. The Lord be with you all.” | 2 Thessalonians 3:16
4. Walk in His peace.
“‘Daughter,’ he said to her, ‘your faith has made you well. Go in peace.’” | Luke 8:48
5. Trust leads to peace.
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” | Isaiah 26:3–4
6. Reap and you will sow!
“God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.” | Matthew 5:9
7. God cares about it.
“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” | 1 Peter 5:7
8. It comes from Him, not us.
“The Lord himself will fight for you. You need only be still.” | Exodus 14:14
9. A blessing of peace.
“‘May the Lord bless you and protect you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord show you his favor and give you His peace.’” | Numbers 6:24–26
10. He’s got the whole world.
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” | John 16:33
