Jordan Feliz’s new album “Future” was inspired largely by his own battle with anxiety. In an interview, Jordan opened up about what Bible verse has given his a lot of freedom.
He says, “There is actually one verse that has impacted the entire record and has impacted a lot of my anxiety and stress. Ephesians 1:18…”
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.” Ephesians 1:18
Jordan continues saying, “This is a prayer from Paul over God’s people about our reliance on God. As humans we want to take control over everything in our lives. However it’s something that we can choose everyday to not do. We can choose to say” No I am not going to do this today and I’m going to give this to the Lord,” and He will take it. It is probably going to create more stress for you in the moment because giving things up is so hard for us, but the moment that you do it is where freedom is truly found. It’s literally one of the hardest things I’ve had to do in my life: to learn to trust God.”
Choose to say: No I am not going to worry today. I’m going to give this to the Lord. Share on XHear more about what inspired the song “Witness“ in the video portion of this interview!
