The Chosen Launches “The Chosen Adventures” Kids Animated Series on Prime Video

If you thought The Chosen couldn’t surprise you anymore… think again. Dallas Jenkins and the team are taking things in a whole new direction: The Chosen Adventures, an animated adventure comedy series coming to Prime Video on October 17th.

After filming the Season 1, Episode 3 scene where Jesus spends time with children, the creators noticed how deeply kids were connecting with the show. That sparked a big idea: why not create something just for them?

Here’s the scoop: 14 bite-sized episodes (about 11 minutes each) follow nine-year-old Abby, her best friend Joshua, and yes… her TALKING sheep. Together, they navigate life in Capernaum until they meet a kind carpenter named Jesus of Nazareth, who just might change everything.

And this isn’t just some side project—Jonathan Roumie is back voicing Jesus, along with fan favorites like Paras Patel (Matthew), Elizabeth Tabish (Mary), and Noah James (Andrew). Oh, and did we mention Jordin Sparks is in the cast? She plays a fish. 🐟 (You can’t make this stuff up!)

“It’s been a thrill to create the show we wish we had when we were kids — an animated story that is as entertaining as it is transformative.” | Dallas Jenkins

The heart behind the show is clear: make Jesus’ story accessible, imaginative, and fun for kids 7–12 (and let’s be honest, plenty of adults are going to be tuning in too).

This series is part of a bigger partnership between Amazon, MGM Studios, and 5&2 Studios, which means not only do we get this animated adventure, but also new projects like Joseph of Egypt and The Chosen in the Wild with Bear Grylls. Plus, the final season of The Chosen (covering the crucifixion and resurrection) will also stream on Prime Video.

So yeah… The Chosen universe is getting bigger, braver, and apparently, funnier. We’re here for it.
