How Do I Make Time for God?

There’s just not enough hours in the day.

It doesn’t matter if you are a CEO, a mom of 4, a college student, or a circus performer. Life is busy.

It is so easy to get caught up in the to-do’s that spending time with God gets put on the back burner. I know for me, sometimes it just has to be a “verse of the day” type day when all I can do is read a single verse for my daily dose of scripture.

When the chaos of life hits, sometimes the only time we end up opening our Bible is on Sunday mornings.

“God doesn’t work by weekly appointments. We may pencil Him in on Sundays, but He gives us His full attention every day. When we slip into God’s presence every day, something amazing happens…He becomes and provides all we need. God never called Himself the Sunday God, the Crisis God, or the Special Occasion God. He is the Alpha and Omega, beginning -to-end, in-it-all, 24/7 God.”

This is a quote from Kim Wier’s new book, “Everyday God.” This 365 day devotional is here to give us some fresh perspective on making time for growing in God’s Word and building your relationship with Him.

His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist.” | Acts 17:27-28 (NLT)
