Forrest Frank and Noah Hayden are making waves as the new duo Party Wave with their debut album, Dawn Patrol.
The story behind it? Just as cool as the music.
Both love surfing, but family life made it tough—so they hit the water early, before the kids woke up. Surfers call it “dawn patrol,” and the name stuck… at first.
It was originally their band name—until a last-minute naming conflict forced a change days before the album’s release. Frank turned to fans for help, and Party Wave was born.

The timing couldn’t be better. Alongside the album drop, Frank is also celebrating his 31st birthday.
Dawn Patrol is designed to feel like both surfing and worship. The 16-track album flows like a day unfolding—starting slow, building momentum as the beats pick up and ending with reflection and rest.
It’s a fresh, laid-back sound with a strong message of faith, hope, and love in Jesus. Surf-inspired throughout, the album draws powerful parallels between God’s nature and the rhythm of the ocean.
“SOS” and “Waste Time” gave fans an early taste, but the full project invites listeners to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with their faith.
But perhaps one of our favs on the album is First Love.
