You’ve seen it. Brandon Lake and Phil Wickham side-by-side, grinning like brothers, leading arenas full of voices, thousands of hands in the air, and having the time of their lives doing it.
Their onstage chemistry has a nickname now: Divine Bromance. And apparently, it’s like a top-secret concert thing.

Wait… what’s “Divine Bromance?”
It started as the inside joke name for the duo’s mid-show acoustic mash-up of both of their songs. Fans began calling it “Divine Bromance,” a playful nod to Phil’s 2006 song “Divine Romance.” (That track first appeared on his self-titled album era.)
The bit got so beloved it took on a life of its own: there’s an official Divine Bromance finsta and even an online merch store.

Quick glossary for the uninitiated: a finsta = “fake Instagram,” a secondary/inside-joke account artists or friend groups use for candid, less-polished posts. The @divinebromance insta is basically their tour scrapbook and meme board rolled into one. Owner of this page, reveal yourself!!
The Tour That Made It a Thing
Phil & Brandon’s Summer Worship Nights tour is now in its third year with dates spanning major venues and even a UK stop. Every year, there’s a different opener from KB, to Hulvey, and now Josiah Queen.
Songwriting Buddies
Another fun fact, they’ve been releasing songs together tied to the tour each year:
-
“People of Heaven” (2023): written to close the 2023 shows; went out as a standalone single and became a nightly moment.
-
“Love of God” (2024): a modern hymn that dropped ahead of SWN 2024, complete with live/video versions and an EP.
Why They’re Friendship Goals
Because it feels real. Reviewers and fans alike keep pointing out how their joy and friendship are contagious: two artists cheering each other on, swapping harmonies, and lifting up Jesus front and center. It’s collaborative, and not competitive.
“Their friendship is so genuine, and you can see how much they enjoy praising God side by side. Seeing their bond makes me want to surround myself with like-minded Christian friends who encourage each other the same way.” | Macy (concert goer, 13)
