The Chosen series has truly helped the world get to know and connect with the people from the gospels, including the actors…but it’s going to make some future storylines even more painful. Director, Dallas Jenkins, discussed with the actors in a round table how each of their characters ends up being martyred for their beliefs. The actors share how this heartbreaking realization is going to really make the stories of the Bible come to life and be that much more real for people to grasp now in the 21st century.

Love this series on the life of our Savior. One criticism: it is way too dark…one has to guess often what the characters are doing, their facial expressions are not seen, only the audio. For old eyes, that do not see well, this is a real downside of the filming. Other than that, I love how Jesus is portrayed with such a mild, loving manner.
