Amy Grant Tells CBS “I Think I Have One More Good Record Left in Me”

For the first time since her bike accident, Amy Grant sits down with CBS Mornings and takes about her career, her faith, and her recovery journey.

Amy shared that the accident was surprisingly, exactly what she needed. It served as a reminder of how blessed she is and how much she loves making music, saying, “I think I have one more good record in me.”

Amy Grant was only 15 years old when she recorded her first album. She says, “A guy that my sister had gone on a date with heard a copy of the cassette I had made for my mom and they called the record company and played that tape over the phone… and he said ‘She’s not that great but she sounds sincere.”

And since then, Amy’s career exploded. Amy Grant had the first Christian record to go platinum, and her most recent accomplishment is to be the first Christian artist to be recognized at the Kennedy Center Honors.
