Matthew West’s Spontaneous Christmas Duet Will Melt Your Heart

What is a concert moment that you will never forget?

For me, it has to be when Matthew West sang his song “Quarantine Life”…well past 2020. This was an outdoor concert and many of the regulations on gatherings were becoming relaxed by this point. And I could not for the life of me figure out why he would sing that song. I was thinking “Why would we want to be reminded of a bad time?”

But as I looked out at the audience singing out and giggling I realized, it was not about the bad that happened. It was about being silly and looking forward to where God has brought us now. So as embarrassing as it was, I almost shed a tear during Matthew’s goofy little parody song. And he continues to be one of my favorite artists to see in concert.

About a month ago, Matthew released a new Christmas song “Because of Bethlehem.”

One night during his Christmas tour, he realized that a young girl in the audience was signing along with him to this song. Impressed by how fast she caught on, he called her up on stage to perform the song with him. Y’all have to see this, it’s too sweet.

Wow, that’s pretty powerful when you think about it. God’s love is so big and yet He sent His only son to a lowly manger in a small town called Bethlehem. One tiny town was the beginning of a story that saved us all.

Maybe you’re waiting for that one special moment of God’s love to show up in your life. Just know, that He hears you, He sees you, He loves you, and He will take care of you.
