Man, Forrest sure has a backbone.
You’ve probably seen the viral skateboarding video of Forrest Frank taking a hard spill in his driveway while playing with his toddler son, Bodie. Forrest revealed he fractured both his L3 and L4 vertebrae. 😬
“It was just a casual session with my 2 year old so I didn’t even think to put a helmet on…Thankful to God that it wasn’t any worse. With multiple fractures I will be laying in bed for a while….so sorry Grace.”

Big props to his transparency and sense of humor in the midst of it. Also, am I the only one who finds it both hilarious and encouraging that he played his song “Good Day” at the end of this video about his injury?
While his literal back was broken, he responded to a fan who asked, “How are you going to keep making music now?” with the most Forrest Frank answer ever: by writing a worship bop from bed.
He dropped a teaser of a brand‑new song titled “GOD’S GOT MY BACK.”

Forrest Frank has become a trailblazer in the Christian music crossover space. He’s one of the few CCM artists to see huge chart success: multiple Dove Awards, Grammy buzz, a #1 hit on Billboard’s Hot Christian Songs, and viral dance trend with “Your Way’s Better,” not to mention widespread attention on TikTok.
Tauren Wells has noticed this movement that Forrest Frank has started in Christian music, and he took a moment to powerfully pray for healing for Forrest with 5,000 people at the Ohio State Fair. Check it out ⬇️

Setbacks don’t mean stopping. And as cheesy as it is: no matter how hard you fall, God’s got your back.
Sending prayers for a quick recovery, and we can’t wait to stream “God’s Got My Back” on repeat once it drops. 🙌
