The Barbie Movie may have taught us that we are “kenough,” but God says you are more than “kenough.”
Iveth Luna is a new Christian artist who just released her EP “Just Like Jesus.” Iveth put her original writing skills to the test by revamping “What Was I Made For” by Billie Eilish.
Not only is this song part of the soundtrack of Barbie, but parts of it are intertwined throughout the score of the film. The theme heavily relies on this lyric as Billie and Barbie both attempt to find purpose for their lives.
As believers, the answer to this question of purpose feels easy. Here’s one of my co-worker’s big takeaways from hearing the song and seeing the movie:
“Regardless of who everyone around me thinks I should be, what the Creator says about who I am, is most important.” | Amber Speigner
And Iveth Luna beautifully took this idea of what God says about us, and re-wrote this song from His perspective. You can watch the four part series below, and I’ll put the lyrics too. Enjoy “The Good You Were Made For.”

Lyrics:
I know you’re doubting
I hear your questions
Hold on to Me
You have My attention
I know what you’re made forYou were designed for My purpose
Dreams far beyond
You can imagine
I know what you’re made for
The good you are made forCall on My name
Promise I’ll save you
I’ll turn it around
You will be made new
I know what you’re made for
The purpose you’re made forHere I have hope
Here I have joy too
Peace like no other
Available for you
I know what you’re made for
So wonderfully made forHere I have hope
Here I have joy too
Paid with a price
Available for you
I know what you’re made for
So wonderfully made forCause I, Cause I
I am your hiding place
You’re safe with me
I am your resting place
I’ll always be
I will always beYou were created to know the Father
Simply created to know My love
I’m what you’re made for
I’m what you’re made for
“I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” | Psalms 139:14 NLT
