You’re just trying to enjoy a casual stroll through Central Park, maybe sipping an overpriced iced coffee, when you hear it.
Live worship, echoing off the trees and buildings like heaven opened a pop-up church in the middle of NYC. That’s exactly what happened when Chris Tomlin showed up to play for “Worship Under the Stars” at Rumsey Playfield.

Chris also just announced a brand-new album coming September 26. It’s called The King Is Still The King.
He even dropped a fresh single, “How Good It Is,” based on Psalm 92.
Now, because it’s 2025 and everything is better with a little emoji magic, Chris teased that four of the new song titles on the album are only emojis. No words. Just a tiny code of smiley faces, and animals? The emojiologists are still working around the clock to decipher them.

So yeah, Chris Tomlin is out here doing what he’s always done, bringing timeless worship to unexpected places. Anyone else excited about the release of the full album?
And the King?
Still the King. 🙌
