Casting Crowns Celebrates 20 Year Anniversary With Top Hits Album, Tour, & Film

Can you believe Casting Crowns became a band 20 YEARS AGO? I feel old.

The exciting news is that Casting Crowns is celebrating this anniversary by re-recording some of their favorite original songs with several featured artists! It will be called Lifesongs: A Celebration of the First 20 Years.

Here is Mark Hall sharing some of the details about the announcement.

The album will include 21 songs with 21 artists and some re-records with the band itself. They have already released two singles including a re-recording of “East to West” ft. Ben Fuller. You may have heard his hit song “Who Am I.”

They also released a re-recording of one of their newer songs, “All Because of Mercy.”

And for the jewel on this crown, the Casting Crowns’ 20th Anniversary Tour: A Live Symphony Experience will begin on September 28th. This is an amazing milestone project to celebrate two whole decades of music ministry.

UPDATE**

Casting Crowns have announced they are releasing a documentary “Home By Sunday,” to share stories behind their songs and 20 year journey as a band.

For the entirety of Mark Hall’s time as lead singer of Casting Crowns, he has served as a youth pastor at the band’s church. Despite any tours or studio recordings, they are always home by Sunday to make sure they make it to their local church commitments (hence the title of the film). This movie will exclusively be in theaters on November 30th. You can sign up for more info here.
