Leave it to the internet to teach a whole life lesson through giraffes.
Recently, comedian KevOnStage shared a video of giraffes calmly facing heavy wind and rain. They weren’t panicking or running, just standing there like it was a typical sunny day.

It all started with an X post stating how giraffes can’t take cover in a storm. He reposted it on Instagram, adding the perspective that the scene is much like our lives when we consider ALL THE THINGS we have to face. Honestly, all of it was funny because it felt a little too real, and there was a lesson pulled out of it.
Actress and Vegan Mogul, Tabitha Brown wrote in part, “When the storm comes may we all stand tall, strong and unfazed like a giraffe.”

Suddenly the joke felt deeper.
KevOnStage re-shared the moment, adding a message of his own. He says in a preacher-like but prayerful tone,“I know the storm is coming, but let me withstand the storm. I want to stand through the rain. Stand through the wind God.”
At one point, the comedian even called out how he was playing but it was getting serious.

Life brings storms we don’t see coming. Whether it’s hard seasons, disappointments, uncertainty, stress, heartbreak and prayers that feel unanswered.
Sometimes the winds hit so hard that you wonder if you’re supposed to duck, run, or just give up altogether.
But what if faith looks a little like a giraffe?
Not pretending the storm isn’t happening. Not denying the wind is strong. Just standing there steady because you know you’re held up by something stronger.
Scripture reminds us that God doesn’t promise a storm-free life. He promises His presence in the storm.
“Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’” – Isaiah 46:10
When the disciples panicked in the middle of a raging sea in Mark 4, Jesus didn’t abandon the boat, He was right there with them. The waves were real, but so was His power. The wind was loud, but His voice was louder.
“Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” – Mark 4:39
Sometimes faith isn’t dramatic. Sometimes it looks like quiet strength. Showing up anyway. Trusting anyway. Standing anyway.
Like a giraffe in a storm.
And maybe that’s the encouragement someone needs today. You don’t have to outrun every storm. You don’t have to be fearless. You just have to stay rooted in the One who holds you steady.
“In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah.” – Psalms 62: 7-8
Because when the winds come, God is still the One carrying you through.
So when life starts blowing sideways and everything feels uncertain, remember:
Stand tall.
Stay steady.
Trust God.
Take the storm like a giraffe and lean on God just like Noah.
