Let’s be honest: talking to kids about faith is tough.
With attention spans getting shorter and screens everywhere, it’s not always easy to spark meaningful conversations about Jesus. But here’s the good news: you don’t have to start from scratch.
God has given us so many creative tools to help plant seeds of faith in the next generation. Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, teacher, or big sibling, here are a few fun and effective ways to get kids excited to learn and talk about Jesus.
1. The Christian “Ms. Rachel”
If your kids love Ms. Rachel, they’ll adore Areo from the YouTube channel God’s Greenhouse! With catchy songs, bright visuals, and Christ-centered messages, Areo makes learning about Jesus fun and engaging for little ones.
Here’s a lesson and song about the Bible story of the good Samaritan and loving your neighbor!
This channel is part of Minno, a streaming service with Bible-based entertainment just for kids. No ads, no worries, just faith-filled content your whole family can feel good about. They also offer shows like The Dead Sea Squirrels, VeggieTales, and more!
2. Act Out Bible Stories
Sometimes the best way to understand something is to act it out. Try recreating stories like Noah’s Ark, David and Goliath, or Jonah and the Whale using costumes, stuffed animals, or even cardboard props.
Kids love using their imagination, and these hands-on moments can help Scripture come alive in a way that sticks. Bonus: it gets them moving and learning at the same time!
3. Faith-Filled Coloring Fun
Coloring is such a simple way to start a faith conversation and it works for a wide range of ages! One great resource is the coloring book God Made Color by Jennifer Burrell. It uses the colors of God’s creation to teach the gospel in a creative, kid-friendly way.
Grab some crayons, sit down together, and let the conversation flow while your kids create something beautiful.
4. Kids’ Bible Studies & Books
You might be surprised how many Christian artists are creating books and devotionals just for kids. The band CAIN has a heartwarming children’s book, and Zach Williams also shares his faith through stories designed for little readers.

Getting kids excited about Jesus doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Use what they already love: music, stories, art, playing pretend, and infuse those moments with truth, love, and fun. God is already working in their little hearts, and you get to be part of that journey.
And remember: you don’t have to do it perfectly. Just be present, be intentional, and trust that God will use every little moment for His glory.
