A million thoughts, an anxious heart, and a never-ending to-do list.
We all feel stress. When life becomes overwhelming, anxiety and stress become a natural part of our daily routine. Growing up, whenever my sister and I faced a problem, our mom would find scripture and post it somewhere we’d see it every day. When my sister struggled to fall asleep, she posted this verse by her bed:
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” | 2 Timothy 1:7
It’s no secret that worship music can soothe the mind and heart. It’s because worship music is inspired by scripture and reflects our “heart cries” to the Lord. Worship shifts our mindset. Scientists have proven that gratitude and anxiety cannot co-exist in the brain.
Let these songs wash over you, and tell God what’s on your mind. He’s always ready to listen. And He has all the answers for every thought, every worry, and every task on your to-do list.

Still – by Hillsong
The absolute go-to when life gets upended. This song, alongside Psalm 4:8, reminds me that I can be still and trust God for the outcome.
