Over 13,000 Gathered To Pray And Worship In Atlanta

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y_pmakmnpSg

According to their website, “Through prayer and fasting, relationship and collaboration, OneRace exists to displace the spirit of racism and release a movement of racial reconciliation across Atlanta, the Southeast, and the nation. God desires a young adult movement that will counter the tide of racial division in our city and nation.”

They Marched on Atlanta last week and in a post afterward they said,

March on Atlanta was this past Friday and we are still in awe! 13,000+ people from across the nation came together to #prayandprotest for justice in our city, nation, and the world. As we all continue to dismantle systemic racism in our country and prejudice in our own lives, let us not forget this monumental moment when the Church stood up and said “enough is enough.” Praying this recap encourages you today and in the days ahead. Many things are impossible. But nothing is impossible with God and for Him. #Amen

This start toward reconciliation is eye opening and awesome to experience. I hope through this we are all able to lay down our anger and continue to work toward equality for all. But if I may make a suggestion to take one more step in the right direction. Is it possible that we are leaving one important piece out because it is easier to overlook? Is it possible that in some way that we all need to come together again to acknowledge what we the people of the United States of America have allowed to occur to Native Americans/Indians and… Read more »

Actually we did this back in the 90s in Atlanta, Nashville, and Charlotte NC. Pretty sure many others did also in churches.

We all need to stop thinking of us as recognizable of color but as brothers and sisters as son’s and daughter’s of God. Break of the chains hold us down thrown on us by the enemy and embrace the truth of our brother and sisterhood under the Creator of all things seen and unseen.

I live in Atlanta suburbs! We have only heard about riots, looting, armed guards to keep police away from the Wendy’s! This is the first I have heard of this beautiful, uplifting event! Where was the news?? Nothing on Fox even!!!

The only “systemic racism” (liberal talking point) is the democrat party/media. There is no systemic racism. We are all one race: the human race.

If you haven’t, I suggest reading books by Dr. John M. Perkins. He is 90 years young. He was beaten and persecuted as a Pastor in Mississippi during the 50’s-60’s. His life is a testimony to what caring Christians/ the church can do to bring about reconciliation.

We agree! Perkins’s life story is inspiring. And his reliance on the Gospel is so challenging. We loved “Let Justice Roll Down” so much that it’s on our list of 7 books to read to better understand race and faith.

I like your zeal for Christ and pray, but Jesus has called all ages to serve him, which includes the young, which you said God was calling. Jesus said it is the Father’s good pleasure to give us the heavenly kingdom that will come when Jesus returns, but Jesus said that this earthly kingdom must be destroyed by his Father when he returns. Jesus told Martha to be nothing troubled and said what Mary had would not be taken from her. Don’t be much troubled by the things in this life that aren’t of the Father. Love is growing cold… Read more »

Back in March God told me that enough is enough. He said he hears the Cry of his people and he wants his people to make a stand and take back what the enemy has stolen from us. He said we have the authority that he has given us and it’s up to us to do something about it. We have to remember who we are and trust God. We have to remember who we are representing and be very proud of it and not be afraid

Peace and thanks in Christ for getting back to me!, Concerning what you say that Jesus told you, amen. Yet, as I said before those things that he’s talking about concern spiritual things. Paul also spoke of spiritually pulling down strongholds and bringing all contrary thoughts and such under control of Christ. Therefore, yes others and you are Kings and priests who have executive power from Jesus your President. When Rome started taking over during Paul’s time and deported all Jews out of Rome, the other Christians and Paul didn’t concern themselves with such things in this life which Jesus… Read more »
