Dude.. in the name of Jesus this was NOT A DISGRACE. She was singing it with her own flair & in God’s honor. There are a lot of people who sing this way worse.
It was her own style. I get that it’s not the way it’s “supposed to be”, but that’s why they have different people sing each year. She’s a humble American with a good heart and singing it for the right reason.
