The Getty’s Encourage Christians to Deepen Their Faith Amidst Pandemic

More than a few times in the past months I’ve asked myself, “What is God doing?” Fear surrounds us. Even a simple trip to the grocery store can be scary as we see people suited up in face masks and gloves.

But Jeremiah 29:11 promises us that God’s plans are for us and not against us, they are to prosper us and not to harm us, they will give us a hope and a future. That is the reminder Kristyn & Keith Getty hope to bring to 6 continents this summer!

A huge theme of the event is to encourage us to fill our lives with song and the beauty and truth of scripture. They will us talk about how scripture can give us courage in the midst of the suffering and despair of our world and that instead of letting fear rule our lives we can instead declare boldly our hope in Christ.

“We have always had a burning desire to see churches and believers around the globe go deeper in their faith through the hymns they sing. However, we never could have anticipated that it would take a global pandemic to push us to develop a totally new digital event that could potentially reach more people around the world than our in-person conference ever has.

We are incredibly humbled by the privilege of gathering pastors, musicians, and worship leaders from many nations to share their creativity and wisdom with the broader Church. Our prayer is that the glory of Christ would be sung around the world, and it’s beyond exciting to see this event contribute to that vision.” – Keith Getty
