“It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons
“I do, oddly enough, remember the song at my husband’s high school graduation. It was “It’s Time” by Imagine Dragons. I guess it fits, but I remember thinking it was a weird choice. Specifically, I’ve never identified with “I’m never going to leave this town” or “I’m never changing who I am.” I mean, yes, it’s good to keep your values through life, obviously. But for me, graduation meant the start of a new adventure. I’ve never wanted to stay in the same place in life like that, but maybe I’m the exception in that.” – Bekah (from The Wally Show)
“I Will Remember You” by Sarah McGluaghlin
“My fellow graduating seniors chose this song as a tribute during our final dance recital in high school. Looking back, it was fitting, but surprisingly sad and bitter-sweet. A lot has happened since then. Also, I found out later that this is the song they play in all of those overly sad, rip-your-heart out, animal shelter commercials. So, yeah, who knew my high school graduation song was this tragic?” – Rebie (WAY Nation)
“Here I Go Again” by Whitesnake
“Believe it or not my graduation song was Whitesnake “Here I Go Again.” It’s not a song many would’ve expected since I graduated in 2005 and not 1985.” – Justin Paul (WAY-FM Night Show)
