Are you REALLY ready for your vacation? This important time away with friends and family is always a special time, but we aren’t always as prepared as we could be. I share eight practical steps to help you get really ready for your vacation. Preparing for a vacation might feel like just one more thing to do, but with just a little extra effort, you can improve your vacation experience with more fun, deeper bonds with family and friends and more time to unwind and recharge. So, let’s dive in and get prepared for an awesome, restful, and maximized vacation!

In this episode, John discusses:
●      Eight practical steps of vacation maximization
●      Reflecting on Episode 80 – setting and sharing expectations wisely
●      Leaving room for God in your vacation plan
●      Remember to download your guide at ChangeForYourDollar.com

Key Takeaways:
●      Anticipating a vacation can be just as fun as the actual vacation if you set and share your expectations wisely and thoughtfully, full of compromise.
●      Rest is a crucial aspect of your vocation, or calling, whether you are working to earn an income, volunteering, or raising a family, and taking time off to rest and rejuvenate can be maximized with the eight practical steps.
●      Leave room for God to show up in your leisure on vacation by planning to play and rest, and being prepared but also aware and expectant for Him to show up in special places.
●      Embrace delays during travel by being prepared with activities and snacks, and set your out-of-office email to create a ministry message. Also, set a budget and plan activities that cost nothing to maximize your vacation.

“Your work can wait. Your rest and rejuvenation cannot. Jesus is waiting in your vacation. Your family and friends are too.”
–       John Putnam
