You might be tempted to skip the chapter with all the funny names, but don’t!
What was special about a guy named Enoch? He walked closely with God – what an amazing thing to be known for!
The book of Hebrews says this about him: “It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying – ‘he disappeared, because God took him.’ For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God.” – Hebrews 11:5
For deeper reading, check out the book of Jude – Enoch is quoted in verses 14 & 15. This guy, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied about the future coming of the Lord to bring judgement on false teachers.
