Back in July Chris Tomlin shared on Instagram that he and his wife, Lauren, were expecting their third child. Another little girl was to be welcomed to the family right around Christmas time!

Well she is here and is as “precious and beautiful” as any parents could hope! Elle Grace Tomlin was welcomed to the world on Monday, December 14th, in Nashville, TN. Both her parents and her big sisters, Ashlyn (9) and Madison (6), are so excited to spend Christmas with a new baby!

Earlier this year Chris Tomlin released a new song titled, “Miracle of Love.” With a surprise baby of his own on the way, it made the story of Mary and Joseph expecting baby Jesus hit that much closer to home for him. The song has beautiful parallels between the Christmas story and the expectant waiting of parents for a baby on the way at Christmas time!

“I started thinking about how I could write a lyric that talks about my baby being born at Christmas and then talks about ‘the baby,’ Jesus, being born at Christmas, and that each line would match and would have a double meaning.”
