There are moments when Scripture stops being something you read and becomes something you witness.
Jesus said in Matthew 18:3,
“Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.”
That truth came to life during a recent visit from the Firm Foundation Homeschool Group to KSBJ. What began as a simple tour became something many in the building that day won’t forget.
A Jar Full of More Than Change
The children arrived excited and full of energy.
But what they carried with them spoke volumes.
A glass jar filled with coins and small bills from their allowance they earned. They took it and gave it freely to support the listener-supported Christian station. No spotlight, just quiet generosity.
It echoed 2 Corinthians 9:7,
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
It also reminds us about the widow’s offering in Mark 12:43–44 where the value wasn’t in the amount, but in the heart behind it.
Questions That Matter
As the group walked through the Prayer & Care Neighborhood, a young boy named Sullivan asked, “What is salvation?”
Simple. Honest. Unfiltered.
Matthew 19:14 says,
“ But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
Children don’t resist truth. They lean into it. Their questions remind us that faith isn’t meant to be complicated.
Faith That Leads
Before leaving, the children gathered and prayed over us, sincerely, boldly, without hesitation.
A portion of James 5:16 tells us,
“… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”
That day, it came through the voices of children. In that moment, the ones we thought we were leading… led us.
Becoming Like Them
That visit wasn’t just a tour, it was a lesson.
Children give freely.
They ask boldly.
They believe fully.
Maybe that’s what Jesus meant all along.
To trust like Proverbs 3:5—“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart…”
To give like Acts 20:35—“… It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
And lastly, to believe with simple, unwavering faith.
Because sometimes, the clearest picture of the Gospel doesn’t come from a stage…
It comes from children, a jar of coins and a question that changes the room.
Their childlike faith reminded us of a simple truth: God still hears prayers.
Whatever you’re facing today, don’t stop praying. Join us in believing together through the Don’t Stop Praying campaign with KSBJ.
