In this episode, we’re tackling a challenge many of us face: forgiving ourselves for past financial mistakes. Even when we know God has forgiven us, the process of forgiving yourself can be difficult and can linger, affecting our financial peace and confidence.

Join me as we walk through three key steps, that I have personally followed, that I beleive will help us to embrace true financial alignment with God and His greater story.

Let’s explore how to move beyond past mistakes and step into the fullness of God’s grace!

In this episode, John discusses:

  • The challenge of self-forgiveness and healing

  • The process of seeking change and personal growth

  • Experiencing deeper faith in overcoming struggles

  • Steps to move forward for forgiving yourself

Key Takeaways:

  • Repentance involves apologizing for financial mistakes and reflecting on the motives behind those choices and making a conscious effort to change directions.

  • God’s forgiveness is immediate and complete, but we can sometimes struggle with ‘feeling’ forgiven, which can hinder our progress.

  • Recalling God’s unwavering faithfulness conquers the lies that can keep us stuck in guilt or shame, allowing us to embrace true freedom.

  • Fully accepting God’s grace and forgiveness and internalizing His promises is waiting for all of us!

“The enemy would love nothing more than to have you drowning in a glass half empty, but God is pouring out grace from a fountain that never runs dry. When you remember His promises, when you internalize His promises, you can begin to realize and remember who He really is, and start to release the burden of the past.”
