1) He was runner-up on the 1st season of ABC’s show “Rising Star”

Austin French made his musical debut to the world on ABC’s singing competition “Rising Star.” His performances on the show not only impressed the guest judges, Kesha, Brad Paisley, & Ludacris, but also the world! Austin ended the season as runner-up and his success on the show launched him into his career as a CCM artist.

2) He has an adopted son who inspired the song “Wide Open”

The process of adoption can be full of roadblocks and heartbreak. 3) He met his wife, Joscelyn, when he was just 18 years old.

Austin became the full-time worship pastor at the Journey Church in Tifton, Georgia at 18 years old. He met his wife, Joscelyn French, at the church. He worked at the church leading the congregation in worship for 3 years.

4) He enjoys doing magic tricks

5) He wrote a book
