Sometimes you just gotta jump in the pool with your clothes on.
One afternoon, my mom, sister, and I visited some friends. When we got there, the kids were already splashing around in the pool. Of course, we didn’t have swimsuits, towels, or anything prepared, and I was so disappointed because what kid doesn’t want to jump into a pool?
I turned to my mom and asked, “Can we just jump in with our clothes on?” She shared a look with her friend, who said, “Don’t worry, we’ve got extra towels.” My mom gave the nod, and without hesitation, we dove right in.
On the way home, my mom said something that stuck with me: “One of my favorite things about you is that no matter what life throws your way, you’re always ready to jump in.” Looking back as an adult, that statement means even more now. It’s how I want to approach my faith and my life—I dive in, knowing Jesus is always right there with me.
Sometimes we forget how to be a kid and have child-like faith. Here are five heartwarming moments of kids showing us how to be brave, pray for others, and love like Jesus.

This little boy jumping in the pool is what reminded me of my childhood story. This 5 second clip is powerful. Life can feel scary, but whenever we’re scared, we can run to God, and He’ll always be there to guide us through.

This young girl bravely asks a country musician if she knows Jesus—a bold move that’s not easy for anyone. Sharing your faith takes courage, and it’s so inspiring to see someone so young witnessing to someone she admires.

3. Jesus, make me love worship.
Phil Wickham made this kid’s dream come true, and you can see the pure joy on his face. It’s a reminder to never lose that kind of joy because the joy of the Lord is our strength. This little boy was not only absolutely eager to worship God at the concert, but was so grateful and thankful to Phil, his mom, and everyone involed in his surprise.

4. Jesus, make me find joy in everyday church things.
This adorable clip of a little boy baptizing his toys is not only hilarious but also uplifting. Seeing him take something he witnessed in church and bring it into his home is truly heartwarming. It’s a sweet reminder of the joy and significance of someone being born again. Let’s never forget to celebrate those moments!

5. Jesus make me a prayer warrior.
This little boy paused his video games to pray for his friend’s mom to get better, showing a heart full of faith. It can be intimidating to pray for someone, but he did it as naturally as breathing. Moments like these remind us that faith doesn’t have to be complicated—it just takes a willing heart.
