Oh yeah, that’s the guy from The Chosen!
There is so much more to this guy than his on-screen miracles. Here are three things about Jonathan Roumie that might just surprise you…
1. He’s a Master of Impressions
Turns out Jonathan can do a spot-on impression of Ray Romano, and Marlon Brando. Turns out he used to do voice-over for an animated series called “Celebrity Death Match.” He actually started his film/TV career as a research intern for SNL. It’s wild seeing someone go from sacred to silly in the blink of an eye.
2. He’s a Musician?? And Working With Michael W. Smith??
It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t staged. Just two friends making music—and now Jonathan Roumie’s got drum credits on a Michael W. Smith song. How cool is that? Michael ended up loving the vibe so much that they recorded Jonathan’s drumming and used it on the track for his newest song, “Arms Around the Sun.”

3. He’s Starring in a Rom-Com With Kevin James
You read that right. Jonathan Roumie is co-starring alongside Kevin James in an upcoming romantic comedy called Solo Mio. Based on what we know so far, the movie promises heart, humor, and a side of Roumie we’ve never seen before.
I guess the guy who plays Jesus can have layers. Jonathan Roumie continues to surprise us, and we can’t wait to see where God takes him next.
